Hazy Not an IPA

Style Requirements

This year’s theme will be "Hazed and Confused" and the speciality category is Hazy Not an IPA. Entries should have the characteristics that make a Hazy IPA, well Hazy. Entries should have the juicy hop character and cloudy appearance found in a New England IPA, but can not be on any of the pale ale styles. Hence, Hazed and Confused. Judges will be asked to consider is the base style present, is it cloudy compared to the base style, is there a characteristic hazy flavor, and does the mix work well together. The standard judging items regarding flaws will still be considered as well.

PS: This category does not count towards personal or club points and will not be considered for Best-of-Show. Therefore, only two bottles are required.

PPS: Feel free to send in more though. Our sorters are thirsty, very thirsty. We will either relish your beer and hail your brewing prowess or castigate you endlessly... twice.

PPPS: There is absolutley no (substantiated) truth to the rumor that the lowest score in the special category will be thrown into the hotel pool ... yet.
